Painter of marine, landscape, figure subjects and teacher. Born Publow, near Bristol. Studied at West Midlands School of Art and Bristol Municipal School of Art under REJ Bush. Elected RWA in 1923. A founder member of the Bristol Art Club (1933) and elected to Bristol Savages in 1951.
