Painter, teacher and writer who after Charterhouse school studied painting with Bernard Adams (1928-1930). Adams taught at Berkhamsted and Tonbridge Schools and wrote several books, including The Student’s Approach to Landscape Painting and The Adventure of Looking. He lived at Houndscroft, Gloucestershire with his wife Iris Adams, also an artist.
