1911 - 1979
A painter in oil, water-colour and acrylic of landscapes, trout and salmon fishing subjects and vintage motoring scenes. Born in London he was self-taught apart from private lessons in figure drawing. He began sketching and painting motoring subjects in the mid 1920s, contributing illustrations to Autocar, Motor and Motor Sport. During World War II he worked for the Ministry of Information, served in the RAF and was ultimately a war artist. Settled in Farnham, Surrey.
